Visual: ScholarWorks submission intake form
Narration: This is the submission intake form. Fill out as much of this form as possible - make sure that the required fields are completed. Here is a bit more information about a few of the fields ... The Author field should already display your name. To add additional authors, use the Search field to find their name. If they don’t come up by searching, manually add their name, email address, and institution.
Visual: Scroll down to keyword section of submission intake form
Narration: Next is the keyword field. Adding keywords helps to make your work more discoverable. For instance, if my paper was about the preschool education of children, I might include keywords like “nursery schools”, “child care centers”, or “early childhood education”. There is no minimum or maximum number of keywords you may use to describe your work.
Visual: Scroll down to upload file section of submission intake form
Narration: Upload file field - Here you attach the document file to your submission. You can upload, import, or link out to the document you wish to attach. If attaching a document via upload, we suggest a pdf. Publication status - If your submission has been published or linked online prior to your submission to ScholarWorks, the system will add the URL to your scholarworks entry. This increases the visibility of your work, in both ScholarWorks and wherever it was previously published. If you have more questions about this, click the “Learn more about OpenURL’s” link for further explanation. Last but not least, additional files - If you have supporting images, files, charts, or other materials that compliment your submission, you select this checkbox here. By selecting this box, you will be able to add the files on the next page and the additional files will be linked to your submission. When the submission form is completed and files are attached, click “Submit” at the bottom of the page.
