Ask a Librarian

The Library chat service provides live help for simple, brief library related questions.

Chat Guidelines

  • We can help you determine if a specific article is available in full-text, assist with Course Readings, suggest databases/resources based on a provided topic, and point you to a specific database or source.
  • If your question involves lengthy research (i.e. statistics, PICOT research), please submit your inquiry by email.
  • For research help with your dissertation or doctoral study literature review, you can schedule a doctoral appointment.

Chat Hours: Eastern Time (EST/EDT)

Chat hours are subject to change. Chat is unavailable during holidays.

If you call our Ask a Librarian phone line, please leave a detailed message including your:

  • Name
  • Walden student ID number
  • Question for the Library

Please speak clearly and give complete information. We may not be able to get back to you if the message is incomplete.

A librarian will typically respond via email to your question within 24 business hours. Holidays or school closures may affect response times. Please monitor your student email for a written response.
