Dear Scholarly Writer,

If you are a multilingual or international student at the capstone level, are you aware of the writing resources available through the Doctoral Capstone Form and Style page in the Writing Center to assist you at this stage of the writing process? The challenges of writing a project study, doctoral study, or dissertation are not unique to multilingual and international students. However, cultural or linguistic differences can often amplify these challenges. The Walden Capstone Writing Community has a For Capstone Multilingual Writers page that contains monthly capstone multilingual writing tips, with previous months archived, as well as links to capstone multilingual resources available through the Writing Center.

You can stop by each month to read a new Capstone Multilingual Writing Tip of the Month. In addition, you may find the Doctoral Multilingual Writers Kit helpful as you work on your final project study, doctoral study, or dissertation. This kit contains tips and resources to help multilingual doctoral students navigate their final written document. The Grammar and Mechanics pages on the Form and Style website provide explanations and examples of some of the various elements of English grammar and punctuation that capstone writers often have questions about. Moreover, weekly multilingual office hours are offered through the Doctoral Capstone Form and Style page. You can stop by with questions about Academic American English as well as with questions about the capstone document. The policies page explains the types of questions appropriate to this service.

Please check out the above resources for capstone multilingual writers and bookmark the For Capstone Multilingual Writers page for your own future use!
