Peer mentors are high-performing Walden students who specialize in student success strategies. They provide peer-to-peer support by means of active listening, high-quality connecting, experiential advice sharing, and solution-based coaching. Connect one-on-one with one of the peer mentors today, a Walden student just like you!

Connect & Chat sessions are open to all students, and they are 20 minutes in length. Click on an available session time to discover more about each peer mentor and what it is like to connect with them. You can schedule a session up to two weeks in advance. To view future sessions, click on the arrow button (<>) on the top right on the yellow bar of the calendar or the Month view button.

Register ahead of time or the day of. You are required to complete a short form with your name and Walden email. Once registered, you will receive an email from “Academic Events & Calendars” via LibCal. In the email, there will be a direct event link that leads you to the virtual “Peer Mentor Room” to connect with the peer mentor via webcam and audio. Questions? Email: peermentors@mail.waldenu.edu

Connect & Chat Information
  • If you experience technical difficulties joining the session, contact the Peer Mentor by email.
  • If the Peer Mentor is unable to attend the session, you will be notified as soon as possible by email.
  • If you accumulate a series of no-shows or cancellations, future sessions may be restricted.
Student Expectations
  • Arrive on Time. Sessions are 20 minutes in length, make the most of your connection time!
  • Be at a computer with internet access and free of distractions. We cannot meet with students operating a motor vehicle.
  • Be respectful. Students are expected to follow the Code of Conduct outlined in the Student Handbook.
