Audio: Desmond "Des" Ellis: Hi guys, my name is Desmond Ellis, but everybody calls me Des. And this guy [motions to dog on lap] is Shooter, my two-year-old Shih Tzu. I am currently pursuing a BS in communications here at Walden. And I'm a personnel security assistant with the CDC where I am responsible for determining if an applicant is suitable for federal employment. Upon completion of that BS degree, my plan is to transition into the Master of Public Administration program in order to move more into a public relations role.

When I'm not working or doing homework or running after this guy [motions to dogf on lap] I'm usually just spending time at the house with my friends and family. As an only child I enjoy spending time with those who make me smile; especially when we're doing absolutely nothing.

So in conclusion I'd like to let you know that it's an honor to be a peer mentor and I'm here to see you succeed. Take advantage of the resources we have here available at Walden and enjoy your experience. Bye!
