Why did you choose Walden University?
At the time, I chose it because I had a demanding work schedule where I traveled a great deal and needed the flexibility of a program where I didn’t need to be in a classroom. The online aspect allows me to work at my own pace wherever I am.
What have you learned about yourself so far in your doctoral journey?
With determination, discipline, and persistence you can be successful. There will be setbacks, but continue to push forward
Where did you attend your first residency?
My first residency was supposed to be at the National Harbor in Maryland, but it ended up being virtual.
What did you find most valuable about residency?
The wealth of information and resources at Walden are invaluable. In addition, the ability to hear from faculty and meet with them to discuss my research interests allowed me to narrow down my research topic.
How did you network at your residency?
I was able to network with students in small group sessions and during larger sessions through the chat function. We exchanged contact information to stay connected over the course of the program.
