As you learn about early childhood professionals this week, be sure that you are identifying both similarities and differences between their qualities and your own. You might begin by creating a list of similarities and differences for each of the professionals you have chosen to write about in your application. Then, use transitions and phrases for comparisons, like as well, similar to, consistent with, likewise, and too to express the similarities in your writing. Use transitions and phrases for contrasts like, on the other hand, however, although, differs from, conversely, and rather than to express differences.  For more information, check out our transitions page.
