NVivo has been designed for qualitative researchers working with very rich text-based and/or multimedia information, where deep levels of analysis on small or large volumes of data are required.

What is NVivo?
NVivo is a qualitative software program for both qualitative and mixed methods analysis. NVivo allows students to import and analyze text, audio, video, emails, and more. Visit our NVivo YouTube playlist for more Walden-specific instruction or visit NVivo's website for further information.
Does Walden pay for NVivo?
At this time, Walden does not offer NVivo for its students. There is a student use license on NVivo's website.
Where can I get help for tutoring in NVivo?
Your Academic Skills Center offers one-on-one tutoring in NVivo, when available. Visit our tutoring appointment schedule to check for the latest information on whether NVivo tutoring is available.

Do I have to use NVivo?
No. You do not have to use NVivo. There are other qualitative and mixed methods softwares available, but many of Walden's faculty and courses recommend NVivo. NVivo is a tool to help you organize and analyze your qualitative research, and it can make that analysis easier.
