The Writing Process Personal Assistant (WPPA) is a new tool the Writing Center has created for writers. It’s an interactive tool that guides you through the writing process, helping you develop a strong writing process and final paper, as well as giving you tips, reminders, and resources to help you along the way.
The WPPA is different than many of the Writing Center's other resources; it isn't a resource that you use before you write, but should instead be used as you write. The WPPA will help you with your writing process, as well as help you successfully complete your assignment.
To give you a bit of an idea about how the WPPA works and what it is, see our quick preview video below.
To use the WPPA, you will first need to create an account and then you will gain access! You can keep the WPPA open and start using it right away, or you can open it again once you're ready to start your assignment. The WPPA will save your progress, so feel free to use it across multiple days, opening and closing it as you write.
If you prefer, you can also access a text-based version of the WPPA. This text-based version is particularly useful for any users with very low Internet bandwidth or students using a screen reader.
You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address and create a password to access the WPPA. The WPPA is not associated with your myWalden portal or e-mail, so you will need to create a new password.
If you have already created an account to access the Writing Center’s self-paced modules, you can use that same account to access the WPPA. In this case, either enter the password you already created or, if you are still logged into your account, you’ll simply click View to access the WPPA.
