Technical Challenges
If you experience technical difficulties accessing your Blackboard classroom, notify the Customer Care Team (CCT) as soon as possible.
You may contact CCT using the options listed below:
- Call 1-800-925-3368, Option 1, Option 2
- Send an email to support@mail.waldenu.edu
- Use the Live Chat feature located on the “Support” tab of the myWalden student portal
Advising Appointment Challenges
Access these instructions if you experience challenges scheduling your advising appointments.
Zoom Session Access Challenges
Make certain you have accessed the Technical Requirements to test the Zoom web conferencing software.
To troubleshoot a specific session, walk through these steps:
- Once in the Blackboard classroom, scroll to select your cohort and track (day or evening).
- View the residency schedule.
- Scroll to locate the appropriate day and time of your synchronous session.
- Click the Zoom session link to join.

Audio Challenges
To troubleshoot your speakers or microphone function:
- Adjust the computer’s microphone and speaker options by clicking the volume button on the bottom right of your screen.
- Test your speakers and volume once in the Zoom web conferencing software (make sure you are not on mute).
- If you have a headset, check to ensure the headset is plugged into your computer.
- Dial-in using the phone number and access code from a phone if your computer speakers and/or microphone are not functioning.

Internet Connection Issues
Should you experience an internet outage because of your internet provider or local weather situation, notify your cohort leader as soon as possible.
