Panel Discussion and Workshop
March 26 at 10 a.m. Central Time
Building on Walden University’s strong mission toward advancing positive social change, we are pleased to announce the 3rd virtual event in the Real-World Solutions for Real-World Problems learning series, Cross-Cultural Collaborations: Embracing Authenticity, Humility, and Vulnerability to Strengthen Positive Social Change.
In this panel discussion with workshop break-outs, attendees will build self-awareness to promote competency and walk away with new methods; tools; best practices, models for discussions, and insights about collaborating with people across cultures to infuse a more inclusive approach in their work to foster social change.
The workshop will begin with a Keynote by Dr. Denise Boston, Walden University’s Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, followed by an expert panel moderated by Dr. Stephanie J.W. Ford, then we will break into discussion groups to focus on one our themes of authenticity, humility, and vulnerability as well as cultural metacognition.
We will then have two rounds of 1-hour breakout sessions, with a 30-minute break for lunch in between, and will bring everyone together for an inspirational final closing session. (Moderated by Ashley Burton and Lyda Downs)
