Meditrek Guide for Counseling Students:
Required Field Experience Training

Required Field Experience Training

All students are required to complete the following training prior to application for field experience:

  1. Paving the Way to Field Experience - an introduction to field experience, completed during Pre-Practicum I
  2. Field Experience Student Orientation - an overview of field experience requirements, completed during Pre-Practicum II
  3. Telemental Health Training - training for providing Telemental Health (TMH) services to clients during field experience, completed during Pre-Practicum I
  4. Home-Based and Community-Based Safety Training - training for providing services in clients' homes during field experience, completed during Pre-Practicum II

All students must complete the Knowledge Check associated with each training with a 100% score prior to submitting a field experience application. Starting in the Spring of 2022, the required Knowledge Checks will be completed in Meditrek during Pre-Practicum I and II.
