What is a scholarship?
A scholarship is a gift of money made to help fund a student’s education that does not need to be paid back. Scholarships are typically awarded for academic achievement, though they may be made based on a number of factors, all of which are determined by the scholarship awarding group. Typically, students must apply for the scholarship and meet eligibility requirements in order to be selected for the scholarships.
Walden recommends that you investigate the possibility of a scholarship to help fund your program prior to starting your courses and continue the search throughout your program, as you may find you are eligible for different scholarships.
