How do I order my books?
You can order your books starting approximately 5 weeks prior to the start of class.
To order your course books, log into your myWalden portal and go to the Academics tab. Underneath the name of your future course, there is a line regarding course materials.
- Click on the link that says View/Buy Course Materials to view your list of materials or to purchase them directly from the Walden bookstore.
- Alternatively, you can go directly to the Walden University Book Store and search for your books by term and course.
Once you have accessed the bookstore page for your course, you will be able to see all the books and course materials for your course.
To purchase the books, you will need to click the Add to Cart button underneath each item. If there is more than one option for one of your materials, an e-book or used copy, for example, each option will be listed here and you can select your preferred version of the book.
Note: If there is no e-book (or digital book) listed in the bookstore, this means that the bookstore does not have an e-book option for this item and you will have to order a physical copy of it.
Once you have added all the needed items to your cart, select the blue Review Cart button at the bottom-right of the screen. Review your cart to make sure that you've got all the items for your course(s) and then click the blue Proceed to Checkout button at the bottom-right of the page. After you click on the Proceed to Checkout button you'll be asked to log into your bookstore account. If this is your first time using the bookstore you will need to create an account.
Students must submit their payment for course materials directly to the bookstore as the cost of the books is not added to your student bill. You can use a credit/debit card or (if located in the US) PayPal to remit your funds directly to the Walden bookstore.
You can also order your text books from another online or local book store. However, be sure you have the correct books and the correct edition of the required texts as listed in the course’s syllabus.
