Commonly Asked Questions: What is Financial Aid?

What is Financial Aid?

At Walden, the phrase “Financial Aid” typically refers to the student loans taken out though the United States’ federal financial aid system, either state-sponsored loans or private loans. Financial Aid is not money that Walden gives to students; instead these are loans students are taking out through the Federal Financial Aid system or through a private bank to pay for their Walden programs. For more information on the Financial Aid system or to see if you qualify, please visit the U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid website.

Student loans have with them a special set of requirements for eligibility and repayment. For any questions about your loan requirements please contact your lender or the Walden Financial Aid office (finaid@waldenu.edu) for more information.
