Walden Computer: VPN

CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (VPN)

Walden uses a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to provide secure access to certain programs and websites when the user is not in a company building.

The following programs and websites require VPN access OR a wired/wireless connection within a corporate office:

  • Banner
  • some SharePoint sites (very few)
  • network drives

Programs and websites that do not require VPN (but many people think they do):

  • Outlook
  • 8x8 Softphone
  • MyWalden University
  • the majority of SharePoint sites
