Every Walden computer comes pre-installed with a number of programs. Your department may ask you to install additional software. You may also install additional software although you should check with your department before installing any non-standard software.
You do not have administrator access to your computer. This means you cannot install most software automatically. You can ask Frontline for admin rights to your computer as needed.
Standard software
The following software programs come installed on your computer.
- CISCO AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (VPN) View information on VPN.
- 8x8 Softphone View information on 8x8 Softphone
- Internet Explorer 8 (DO NOT UPGRADE!)
- Kaseya (allows Frontline to push updates to your computer)
- Microsoft Office 2010 or 2013
- Access
- Excel
- OneNote
- PowerPoint
- Word
- (other Office programs available upon request)
- Microsoft Office 2013
- Skype for Business
- RealVNC (allows Frontline to remote in to your computer, with your permission)
- Symantec Endpoint Protection (anti-virus software)
