Education

The Education section lists degrees you have earned and are currently pursuing:

Example 1:  Degree in Progress

EDUCATION

Name of Degree, Concentration                          Expected [Insert graduation YEAR]

University Name, City of University, State of University

Example 2:  Degree Completed

EDUCATION

Name of Degree, Concentration                          YEAR

University Name, City of University, State of University

Dissertation/Doctoral Study Topic: [insert TITLE]

Additional formatting tips:

List degrees earned in reverse chronological order (most recent degree first) and use single spacing.  If you are in the process of completing your Walden degree, list the year you are expected to graduate (e.g., Expected 2019).  If you are a Walden alumnus, list your year of completion on the right-hand side.

Tip: Walden University’s City and State are: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Important note for doctoral students:

Until your doctoral study or dissertation is approved by the Chief Academic Officer, do not list your topic or title in the Education section.  Instead, you may create a Research Interests section to highlight your research interest areas and also include information about your research plans in the cover letter for a job.
