Ooyala: Add labels

Labels are used to sort and filter videos, create playlists, and run reports.  Labels are never seen by the user; they are used for internal organization only.

There is a top-level label for each department.  Beyond this, the departments determine their own labels and label structure.  Departments can have as many labels as they desire, nested within their department label.

Some things to consider when determining labels:

  • finding videos: all videos from all departments are in a long list.  You can filter videos by label.
  • creating playlists: playlists are created from labels
  • pull data: data is filtered by labels

Create a label

All department managers can create labels.  Please create labels in your department only.

  2. Locate the All Labels list in the left column.
