Internship Courses

Some programs at Walden University feature a required field experience as part of the curriculum (see Field Experience web-site for more information on programs). For students who do not have a required field experience, one of our optional internship courses can provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience. Please note that optional internship courses are only available for students without a required internship/practicum as part of their program.

Why do an Internship?

Internships allow students with to practice what they are learning in the classroom within a real-world environment. Students can learn from practitioners in their field and build their professional network. Internships also give students the chance to bolster their resume and transferable skills, helping to make them more marketable to potential employers.

For more information, visit Optional Courses. For questions and course application documents, contact careerservices@mail.waldenu.edu.
