Nursing Practicum

Walden’s College of Nursing programs are designed to prepare students with the skills and competencies to make an impact on the healthcare system and the healthcare needs of society. Making a difference in your profession requires both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. For this reason, our nursing programs include a required practicum experience to provide you an opportunity to synthesize knowledge, apply skills, and develop competence in professional practice.

The practicum experience of a nursing student’s journey at Walden is exciting and rewarding because it provides hands-on opportunities to integrate your knowledge learned in the classroom to the real-world environment.  You should begin preparing and planning for practicum early in your program.  Walden University is dedicated and committed to supporting you through the practicum process.
