About Tammy: Much of my focus in graduate studies has been Creative Writing and American Indian literature. However, I began teaching composition and continued to do so over the past twenty years. I taught at Central Michigan University, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Peru State College, a part of the Nebraska State College System. While at Peru State College, I began modifying courses and also designed the first ever American Indian literature course at the college. One aspect of my time at Peru State College I enjoyed was my ability to teach a variety of courses from Elements of Composition to Non-Western literature. Furthermore, I enjoyed being in the classroom and watching my students’ progress! I hold a PhD, an MA, and a BS in English as well as an AA in Music.
