About Sarah: I have been teaching a variety of composition and literature courses online since 2007. I truly love the community aspect of teaching and the encouragement that everyone can receive to achieve their goals. My research interests focus on giving voice to works that have been traditionally ignored due to the writer’s class and gender. I currently live in southern Illinois with my husband and two children.
My Advice to Walden Students
Really engage with the materials and your instructors to get the most out of each course.
My Role as a Teacher
Why I enjoy teaching at Walden:
I enjoy teaching because it is so interesting to see what others are passionate about in their own fields, and I like helping students learn how to express their ideas in the most effective way.
What students can expect from me as a teacher:
As an instructor, students can expect that I will be as available as I can be to discuss course topics and their writing to ensure they feel comfortable and confident with the material.
