About Matt: I am a Contributing Faculty member, and I teach writing support courses in the Academic Skills Center. I am also a Writing Instructor and Coordinator of Writing Research and Pedagogy in the Writing Center. I have an MFA in Writing from Hamline University, and prior to joining Walden I worked as a technical writer, a tutor, a fact checker, and a copy editor. As an instructor, I enjoy helping students develop their ideas into lucid arguments their readers can easily understand.
My Advice to Walden Students
Good writing comes from good writing practice. Taking the time as early as you can in your program to develop good writing habits,
identify writing resources, and participate in a writing community will make you a better writer,
equipping you to take on bigger and more complex writing challenges.
