About Angelica: I’ve spent most of my academic career serving in Oregon’s community colleges, where I’ve worked with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and life experiences. I fell in love with Walden University because of the institution’s fierce commitment to social change, and I’m proud to work with such a large group of people who are truly passionate about empowering learners for positive progress in our communities. I have a background in instructional technology and also humanities- and I love looking for interesting and unusual ways to connect subjects together. I love to travel around the world, and I enjoy many different activities outside of academics, including ultramarathoning, hiking, climbing, and practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

My Advice to Walden Students
You are stronger than you think!
During college, my kid went through 3 years of cancer treatments and it totally defined our lives for a really long time.
School was tough, and so was life! What I learned, though, is that the human spirit is an indomitable force and that we each have
unlimited resilience. What you’re doing right now, today, in your education is SO important.
Keep going forward, even if it’s just one small moment at a time.
Your goals matter!
Whether you’re looking to level up in your career, set an example for your kids, or learn new skills—think about the reasons you
started here at Walden and know that those goals are important. Make yourself a priority!
Be your own hero! There may be people in your life who will doubt you, but don’t ever doubt yourself.
Own your path and make your dreams come true!
What I do in my Role as Manager, CAEX Faculty Development/Graduate Writing
What I do in my role as Manager of SKIL Faculty Development and Graduate Writing is so very rewarding! I am lucky to work with some of the very best faculty, and to teach our amazing students. I also love collaborating with other teams and people all around Walden!
My Favorite Project
My favorite project so far? All of them, ha! Anything with collaboration and teamwork is awesome to me. Right now, I’m having a blast working with our SKIL crew on faculty-facing podcasts for new online instructors, as teachers all over the nation (and the world!) adapt to working remotely.
