PRAC 6830: Advanced Pediatric Nursing Practicum III: Specialty Care
- Types of Patients: Ages birth to age 21
- Types of Services: Specialty services provided to pediatric patients
- Possible Preceptor Choices: MD, DO, PNP, FNP specializing in pediatrics
- Possible Site Choices: Specialty clinics, such as pediatric psychiatry adolescent medicine; pediatric dermatology; newborn nursery; pediatric urgent care; sports medicine; pediatric allergy and asthma; pediatric pulmonary; pediatric GI; pediatric rheumatology; pediatric oncology/hematology; pediatric nephrology; pediatric infectious disease; pediatric ENT; pediatric surgery; pediatric neurology
Note: Hours can be split between two settings (e.g., 80 hours sports medicine and 80 hours in pediatric mental health)
- Nonacceptable Preceptors: Physician assistants
- Requirements: 160 hours; minimum 160 encounters
