Captions in Ooyala: upload a video to YouTube

To upload a video into YouTube,

First log in to YouTube.  Your department probably has a YouTube account and channel they’ll want you to use.

When you are ready to load the video, after you have logged in to YouTube, click the Upload button in the upper right corner.  This takes you to the file upload page.

First, change the privacy setting to Private.  This setting means no one can find the video unless you explicitly give them permission to see it.

Click the big white arrow, and browse to the video using the standard Windows Explorer window.  Or, alternatively, drag the file to the video upload box.

Wait for YouTube to upload the video.  First it will process the video.  Once the video is processed, you’ll see the “Click ‘Done’ to confirm” message.

Verify that the privacy setting is Private, then click the blue “Done” button.

Congratulations, your video is now uploaded into YouTube.
