Yes, a total of $60 (non-refundable) which will be paid at time of application.

What do I need to do as a member?

Membership requires each student to:

  • Complete four hours of volunteer contributions quarterly
  • Attend at least two mandatory membership meetings
  • Partake in an annual social change project

I can’t make the induction ceremony date. Does this mean I cannot apply?

No, you may still apply and partake in full membership functions.  We would like all our new members to attend the induction ceremony; we understand that it may not be a favorable time for everyone.  We will still induct each member in attendance and absentee.

I applied a while ago but have not heard back yet. Did you get my application?

If you notice that you have not received your Phi Alpha certificate within 3 months after applying for Phi Alpha, please contact Student Orgs. at studentorgs@mail.waldenu.edu.

If I am a current member of another University or College, do I need to reapply?

A member may transfer chapters to the new local chapter upon submission of the request to transfer to the new local chapter and notification of transfer to the old chapter by submitting a transfer application and paying the $30 local chapter membership fee.
