PhD Intensive Eligibility

In order to be eligible to attend an intensive retreat, PhD candidates must:

  • Have completed residency 1, 2 and 3
    • Note: You can attend a PhD DI to satisfy the residency 4 requirement for your degree program
  • Have an approved committee chairperson on file at the University and started working with the committee chairperson
  • Have a completed prospectus on file at the University
  • Have been enrolled in at least one term of their degree program's dissertation course:
    • AMDS 9000 
    • CRJS 9000
    • COUN 8560
    • EDUC 9000
    • HLTH 9101
    • HLTH 9001
    • HUMN 9000
    • HUMN 9001
    • IPSY 9000
    • MGMT 9000
    • NURS 9000
    • PPPA 9000
    • PSYC 9000
    • PUBH 9001
    • SOCW 9000

PhD students attending the intensive retreat for residency 4 must attend all sessions and advising throughout the entire intensive retreat in order to successfully complete the experience to satisfy residency 4 requirements.

  • NOTE: Intensive Retreats are NOT included in Fast Track tuition.
