Using Skype to Contact an Academic Advisor
Members of the International Student Advising Team are available for advising on Skype. For information regarding their Skype office hours and contacts, please email your international Student Success Advisor at internationaladvising@waldenu.edu.
Important things to know when working with your Student Success Advisor on Skype:
1. No registration adjustments can be taken over Skype. Students must still email (from their Walden email accounts) a request to add or drop a course.
2. If you message your international Student Success Advisor on Skype, and he or she does not reply back immediately or does not accept your phone call, please keep in mind that your advisor may be assisting another student at that time or may be away from his or her desk. If your request is time sensitive, please email internationaladvising@waldenu.edu, or call us using one of our international numbers.
3. Skype is not currently supported or used by Walden’s Customer Care Team. If you experience technical difficulties while using your Skype account, please contact Skype directly for support. Additionally, Skype cannot assist with technological difficulties related to your myWalden portal or student account. Please remember to direct any myWalden portal or account inquiries to Customer Care at support@mail.waldenu.edu
4. We will still ask you for your student ID to verify your identity – please have it on hand when you call us using Skype.
