President | Jason Bostic

My name is Jason Bostic and I live in southeastern Georgia with my wife, dogs, and hens. I am a retired Army 1SG with over 22 years of active duty from 1998 to 2020. I am currently earning my Master of Social Work degree with the goal of working with Veterans upon graduation. I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, and fly fishing. I am trying to learn the guitar and my favorite all-time band is the Grateful Dead. I am looking forward to what this chapter of SALUTE can do, and I am eager to work with and learn from every member along the journey.

I am delighted to join the Walden SALUTE Board and look forward to working for this community. I retired from the Army Reserve in 2019 after 30 years of service, 10 reserve and 20 AGR.  I was an enlisted soldier for two years prior to my commission as a Quartermaster Officer. During my Army career, I was a Logistician, Transportation Officer, and Strategist.

Since I retired, I have been volunteering with The Mission Continues Austin Platoon for four years and more recently Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs, which provides a community center and resources for veterans in the area.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minnesota and a Master’s in Strategic Intelligence (Terrorism) from American Military University. I am completing my PhD in Public Policy and Administration (Terrorism, Peace, and Mediation) at Walden University and expect to graduate in July 2025.  I am married and we have one fur baby (cat).  We currently live near Austin, TX.
