Induction Ceremony 2021 - KeyNote Speaker & Dissertation of the Year Recipient -Dr. Lori Salgodo 

"After serving 20 years in the US Air Force in leadership roles worldwide as an instructor/evaluator pilot, and at the Pentagon and the US Air Force Academy, Dr. Lori Salgado earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University.  Her research on parental recognition of childhood mental illness was honored with the school's highest award for a dissertation study, and she now serves at Walden as a contributing faculty member and dissertation mentor on various subjects involving leadership, non-profit management, qualitative methodology, and positive social change.  She actively volunteers as a non-profit leader of the Depression & Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) chapter in her community and is the proud parent of four wonderful young adults. "

Mentorship Workshop

Victoria Moultry – Resumes and Career Development, Making the Transition

Victoria started her career in 2010, at the Art Institute of Austin, in Austin, Texas where she served as an Assistant Professor.  In 2012 Victoria became a Full Time Faculty member for Virginia College, in Austin, Texas. Currently, Victoria is a Faculty Member, since 2015, at Central Texas College, in Killeen, Texas. Victoria is also an Adjunct Faculty at Texas Tech since 2017, and Austin Community Colleges since 2020. In 1991 Victoria graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, and in 1994, she received her Master of Arts in Organizational Communications. Both degrees from the Michigan State University.  Victoria is a Walden University doctoral candidate in Higher Education and her expectation is to become an honor graduate in 2023. Victoria is an active member of National Society of Leadership and Success.

    

Opeyemi Olatona – Self Limitation & Mentorship, How to Live Up to Your Potential and Succeed in Life. Ope is a life coach and inspirational speaker who loves God and has been a great inspiration to many.    In 2019, Ope founded a charitable organization named the “One Dime One Smile” foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the needy. Ope is a creative entrepreneur, a certified negotiation specialist, and the author of “Greatness is in you”. She is currently working on her second book named “The Shift” .  Ope has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Premier University of Africa and received her master’s degree in Management from Walden University. Ope is a Walden University PhD candidate in Management with concentration in Leadership and Organizational Strategy.   Ope is a wife and a mom, who considers herself blessed with a beautiful family.

Frances Bailey –  Tools to Prevent a Relapse in Your Ability to Take Lead. Frances Bailey is a Certified Life and Empowerment Coach who works as an Accountability Coach holding herself accountable for getting things done right, meeting deadlines, and achieving the goals set for yourself. She overcame many obstacles by following Henry Ford motto of “Don’t Find Fault, Find a Remedy” and now she provides the tools to maintain your empowerment to become a Transformational Leader. Frances is a coach and a mentor that offers her services free of cost to anyone who needs them. Finally, and most importantly, Frances is a Prayer Partner determined to achieve victory in anything through the power of prayer. As she put it: “There is power in prayer and prayer changes things.”

Dina Bergren, M.A.
Dina Bergren is the Associate Director of Career Services at Walden University where she manages departmental operations and coordinates career-related projects.  Dina has been with Walden for over 14 years and assumed her current role as Associate Director back in 2015.  Prior to Walden, Dina Bergren held positions as an Assistant Director of Education, Career Advisor, and National Admissions Representative at two technical colleges.  Dina is actively involved in the Minnesota Career Development Association (MCDA) and has presented at several state and national conferences.  She holds a B.S. in Psychology from Grinnell College and a M.A. in Human Resource Development from the University of St. Thomas.  Dina enjoys helping adult learners build workplace skills, navigate career transitions, and find inspiration in their professional lives.

Denise Pranke, M.Ed.
Denise is a Senior Career Advisor at Walden University where she guides students and alumni on proactive career management strategies, presents seminars on career related topics, and manages the Walden Career Services’ metrics. Her 20 years of experience in public, private, and community-based adult education programs also include positions as an adjunct instructor, program coordinator, and academic advisor. She holds an M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Minnesota. Her specialties include midlife job search, resume development, and interviewing.
