What are the Academic Requirements for Alpha Sigma Lambda?

The requirements for the undergraduate honor society Alpha Sigma Lambda (ASL) are below:

a. Members must be matriculated and have a minimum of 45 graded quarter hours taken through and graded at Walden University in an undergraduate degree program. These college credits must not include transfer credits.

b. At least twelve credits of the student’s total credits should be earned in general education courses. Accepted transfer courses may be added to the 45 credits earned at this institution until the Bachelor of Sciences requirements are fully satisfied.

c. Members shall be selected only from the highest ten percent of the class who have forty-five credits, enrolled in two prior quarters, and are matriculated in an undergraduate degree program.

d. Those selected must have a minimum grade point index of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale. The cumulative scholastic record of the student as interpreted by Walden University shall be the basis for computing scholastic eligibility. 

When are membership drives conducted each year?

Typically, there are two membership drives per year (spring and fall).
