What is Google Analytics?
Google Analytics is a web-based statistical package that collects statistics about a website.
To track a website in Google Analytics, the webmaster must put a piece of JavaScript tracking code in the header or footer of the website. This code is specific to a single Google Analytics account. After a few days, users can log into their Google Analytics profile and run reports on tracked content.
How Do I Access Google Analytics?
- Go to the Google Analytics home page and click the Sign in link at the top right.
- Sign in with the appropriate Google Analytics account. A list of known Google Analytics accounts are in the Information for Webmasters documentation.
- Click the name of your site, if it isn't expanded.
- Click the appropriate URL/site title to access the GA reports for that site.
