Are there any academic requirements to join Tapestry Sister Circle?

No, there are no academic requirements for membership. We are here to support you throughout your program as you grow on your academic journey.

Is there a fee?

Yes, there is a $40 membership fee. 

The $40.00 lifetime membership fee helps fund and support the following activities and resources within Tapestry Sister Circle:

  1. Event Hosting and Activities:

    • Funds are used to organize and host events, workshops, networking sessions, and social activities that enhance your personal, academic, and professional growth.

  2. Guest Speakers and Panelists:

    • Fees help bring in experts, guest speakers, and panelists who provide valuable insights and contribute to your support throughout the program.

  3. Community Engagement and Networking Opportunities:

    • The fee helps in organizing networking events, student mixers, and collaborations with other organizations, fostering connections that benefit both personal and professional development.

  4. Scholarships and Grants (if applicable):

    • Part of the fee may go toward funding scholarships or grants that help support members in their academic pursuits or professional opportunities.

What are the Tapestry Sister Circle bylaws?

Membership shall fall into the following three categories:

Active: Any student enrolled in at least one credit with the Walden University School of Counseling CES or MS Programs. 

Alumni: Any former student who has graduated from Walden University’s CES or MS program who is a former Tapestry member.

Honorary: Any member that does not fall into the above two categories, including but not limited to, faculty/staff, members of higher education, organizations, societies, etc.
