Welcome to Comunidad – A Latinx Affinity Group!

The purpose of the Organization is to connect Latinx students with one another for support and provide opportunities for professional development, networking, and mentorship to advance their academic goals and professional interests. Comunidad is geared toward Latinx-identifying counseling students within Walden’s School of Counseling and its masters-level Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Dual Degree Counseling programs as well as the doctoral-level Counselor Education and Supervision program. The organization is committed to supporting Latinx-identifying students’ success in graduate counseling programs through community and mentorship. The organization fulfills its mission by facilitating a space in which Latinx students feel connected, seen, and heard.
