In a group advising format, an IRB member will help students brainstorm solutions to ethical challenges in doctoral research, including:
-setting up partnerships with sites
-different ways to obtain and document consent
-minimizing risks for participants
-maintaining data privacy
-managing dual roles and possible conflicts of interest
-sharing results with stakeholders
Bring your questions. Explore solutions. Learn from other students’ questions and ideas.
Please note that the IRB member hosting office hours cannot provide verbal approval or updates about the status of a particular submitted application. Inquiries regarding status updates need to be emailed to the Research Ethics Support Specialists via IRB@mail.waldenu.edu.
