Dr. Rochelle Gilbert is not just a woman on the move; she's a force of nature, a beacon of inspiration, and a catalyst for change. A multifaceted visionary, creative coach, educational champion, and charismatic leader, Dr. Rochelle Gilbert, affectionately known as Dr. Ro, embodies the essence of empowerment and transformation. 

 

A Life Fueled by Purpose  
From her early years as the daughter of Mr. Charles L. Gilbert and Mrs. Clara Gilbert to her role as the wife of Dr. Sean R. Abram, Dr. Ro's life is a testament to her unwavering commitment to service and leadership. She's not content with merely existing; she's driven to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others. 


 

A Trailblazer in Education  
Dr. Ro's educational journey is a testament to her passion for learning and dedication to helping others achieve their full potential. With a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, an Executive MBA, and a rich background in Clinical Mental Health, Counseling, and Educational Administration, she stands as a true educator at heart. Over three decades, she's touched countless lives as a transformative educator, bringing her unique blend of leadership, program development, and change management to every role she's undertaken.  


Currently serving as the Executive Senior Director of University Relations and Advancement at Walden University, Dr. Ro is shaping the future of education and mentoring the leaders of tomorrow. Her extensive accolades and recognitions speak volumes about her impact, from being nominated for the Global Products and Services Award to being named a Positive Leadership Champion. 

A Catalyst for Social Change 
Dr. Ro's passion extends beyond the classroom; she tirelessly advocates for positive social change. As a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Immediate President of the Monroe Alumnae Chapter, she stands at the forefront of social advocacy, promoting learning and development on a broader scale. 

An Inspirational Leader  
But what sets Dr. Ro apart is her unwavering belief in the power of the individual. She founded "I AM - Intentionally Authentically ME" to help people embrace their unique selves, free from the judgments of others. Her 20/20 Vision focuses on the #IAM principle, where every person is "Intentionally & Authentically Made." Through her leadership, she encourages others to champion themselves to their "NEXT." 

Guided by Faith  
Dr. Rochelle Gilbert's journey is deeply rooted in faith. Her favorite scripture, Luke 1:45, reflects her unwavering belief that with God, all things are possible. This faith guides her every action, empowers her to overcome challenges, and fuels her dedication to making a difference.

Student Success Advising Manager for Social and Behavioral Sciences, PhD and Doctorate programs. Member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Prentice has been in higher education for over 17 years, in advising and advising management roles. He is thrilled to be part of the Walden family now for 7 years.

In addition to his manager responsibilities at Walden University, Prentice Moore is the president of the 100 Black Men of Phoenix, Arizona, Inc. Local chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc., which is recognized as the nation’s top African American-led mentoring organization. The Phoenix chapter provides mentoring programs for youth ages 12 to 18, that emphasizes Leadership, Education, Health & Wellness and Economic Empowerment. Prentice has been president of the Phoenix chapter since 2015.

President: Dr. Charity T. Adams

Dr. Adams is a lifelong learner and passionate advocate for social change.  She is an active Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. member and has significantly impacted her community.  Dr. Adams supports student organizations like Divine Nine Alliance (DNA), volunteers for multiple community organizations, and continues to help small businesses through her research on business planning strategies.  Her dedication and commitment to service have earned her the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award from Walden University. Driven by her family and inspired by Booker T. Washington's words, Dr. Adams believes true happiness comes from helping others.

Historian: Dr. Shawanda Daniel

Dr. Shawanda Daniel, BS, MPH, CCRA, DrPH, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. member, earned a BS at the University of Georgia (Athens, GA), a Master of Public Health degree from Morehouse School of Medicine (Atlanta, GA), and a Doctor of Public Health degree from Walden University.  Dr. Daniel’s primary focus is on health equity/ inequity in populations with cardiometabolic diseases. She currently serves as the historian of the Walden University chapter of the Divine Nine organization.  Dr. Daniel is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success.  She participated as a student leader for Walden University in the Higher Learning accreditation feedback sessions in 2022 and 2023. Dr. Daniel participates in a diversity and inclusion student and faculty initiative for the Walden College of Health Sciences and Public Policy.   

Dr. Shawanda Daniel has had her consulting company (Southeastern Clinical Consulting, LLC/ SECC) since 2007. She has clinical investigational device and drug trials experience in the following: Medical Device, Biologics, and Drug experience as Clinical Oversight Manager/Clinical Operations Lead, Device Lead R & D Principal, Sr. CRA, regulatory, and lead trainer. 

Dr. Daniel also has a patent pending invention for a product that naturally sanitizes and deodorizes spaces to improve air quality.  The product is in development and will be sold under Picture Fresh, LLC and the website is www.picturesaferair.com.

Hello, my name is Latrell Floyd, MS, MPA and I am currently the Communications Chair for the Divine Nine Alliance. I completed my second master's degree in communication at Walden University in 2021. I am an active and financial member of Phi Beta Sigma, Fraternity, Inc., and was initiated into the Iota Delta Chapter in Spring 2015 at Eastern Kentucky University & currently in the Eta Alpha Sigma chapter in Lexington, KY.
