PhD in Psychology: Consulting Skills Intensives

Enhance your consulting skills

Do you want to further develop and enhance your consulting skills?  Walden now offers Consulting Skills Intensive (CSI) retreats.

CSI retreats provide an intense, in-person immersion into the scenarios and case studies that will directly relate to the day-to-day challenges and opportunities you may encounter in your current and future workplaces. Topics will include, but are not limited to internal vs. external consultants, public and private sector consulting, for-profit and non-profit consulting, developing and maintaining successful client relationships, overcoming resistance to change, teaming and designing interventions, among many others. Teams will be immersed in case analysis, role-playing, and hands-on activities throughout the retreat and learn about consulting with matrix, virtual, and global organizations.

Why should you attend a Consulting Skills Intensive retreat? Psychologists and practitioners need strong consulting skills to guide organizations and their leaders toward desired strategic and tactical outcomes. For in-house staff, this encompasses assessing problematic areas, developing effective processes, and fostering appropriate behaviors aligned with organizational goals; for external consultants it includes similar steps, but also entails assessing the impact of culture and climate on organizational processes and individual behaviors.

Visit the CSI website to see the dates for upcoming intensives, and then email Student Success Advising to request registration. Seating is limited to 20 participants to allow for individualized attention so register now to reserve your space.
