Assignments - Course Navigation
This section focuses on the assignment information displayed on the Assignment page. Grading an assignment will be covered in the Grades area.
To access Assignments, click Assignments in the Course Navigation Menu.

Assignment Information and Assignment Rubrics
Navigate to the Assignments area and click the name of an assignment.
- Assignment Details: Below an assignment, key details are displayed, including the total possible points for the assignment, format(s) in which the assignment can be submitted, and the number of attempts allowed.
- Deadline and Assignees: This area displays the Due Date, which students are assigned, when the assignment becomes available, and the last date it will be available.
- Rubric: If an assignment has a rubric, it is displayed here.
Please Note: If a student starts a submission as a File Upload and then navigates to the Text Entry tab, then Canvas will only upload the last tab they visited (either File Upload or Text Entry, not both). But they can upload multiple files, by clicking +Add Another File.
