Classrooms open four days prior to the start of a course, typically on the Thursday prior to the Monday start of class. This time period is considered the “Preview” period. Any work submitted during this timeframe will not count toward participation.
|Preview Day 1||Preview Day 2||Preview Day 3|
|Preview Day 4||First Day of Class|
If you are added to a classroom after the class has opened for the Preview period, or after the term has started, you will be able to see the course listed in your Current Courses area but will not have access to the classroom itself for 12-24 hours.
If you experience challenges with accessing your classroom and you were not registered in the last 24 hours, please contact the Customer Care Team for more assistance.
Note: Classrooms for Academic Residencies typically open for the preview period three weeks prior to the start of a residency.
If you register for your course or residency after the preview period has started or after the first day of class, you will likely not have access to the classroom for another 12-24 hours. While you may see the link for “Go to Classroom” present in your portal prior to that, do not be alarmed if you do not actually have access for the next 24 hours. If you do not have access and it has been more than 24 hours after your registration, please contact the Customer Care Team for assistance in trouble-shooting your access.
