Finding articles on group roles in social work practice

For this discussion you need to find an article on group roles in social work practice. To find articles, we will be searching SocINDEX with Full Text .SocINDEX contains full text articles, books, monographs, and conference papers

1. From the Walden Library Home Page click the  A-Z Databases button.


2. Click on the letter S and scroll down until you see SocINDEX with Full Text.

3. You will see three search boxes. In the first search box enter the terms group counseling OR social group work.  

4. Change the drop-down menu on the right of the first search box from Select a Field (optional) to SU Subject Terms.


5. In the second search box enter the word role.

Note: Leave the drop-down menu next to the second search box on the default, Select a Field (optional).

6. Check the box next to Scholarly (Peer Reviewed) Journals and uncheck the box next to Full Text.  Unchecking full text will get a larger number of results.


7. Click HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text to read the complete articles.89. If you see the Find @ Walden button listed with an article, click it to see if an article is available in a different database.

You may find that occasionally an article won't be available, and in these cases you can always contact the Library for assistance.
