Don't be quickly discouraged by the word "NO" Sometimes rejection is a guide for redirection.
-Abdul Hadi, Walden Student

When it comes to finding internships for Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, I would suggest looking a year before you begin your practicum. I found that there is a lot of competition in securing an internship with other students in and outside of Walden University. I also highly recommend joining a professional organization in your field of study. In addition to learning more about your major, they also display job openings, open doors to getting letters recommendations, and referrals, and more importantly, meeting new people in your major and an opportunity to network. These tips have helped me tremendously in securing my internships.
