Website Demonstration:

Where on the Career Services Center website can you find Resources? Let’s start with the Jobs and Internship Search page!

This page immediately shows you our two signature resources, iGrad Job Search and GoinGlobal. iGrad is a powerful job bank with “only for your school” postings, while GoinGlobal, contains a variety of resources for international job and internship searches, including country guides and visa information. Additionally, take a look at the Job Search Sites by Subject, (pause) to find job boards catering specifically to your field.

On the Career Exploration page you will find Doctoral Resources, Field Experience, and Alumni resources. Another key resource on the Career Exploration page is the Career Exploration webinar, which includes a handout with professional development resources. The Special Interest resources has links and advice for job seekers in a variety of areas. Under “What Can I Do With This Major” you can find job titles from a wide variety of career areas. Next, let’s explore Resumes and More. Here are the basic building blocks of a great resume! Each resume section is explored in detail. Additionally, there is advice on building a professional cover letter. If a curriculum vitae is more applicable for your situation, we have you covered with the Curriculum Vitae Guide! There is help for letters of recommendation, while Optimal Resume has hundreds of resume and cover letter samples, interview prep, training videos, and more.
