Undergraduate: Registration Directions

How to Self-Register for Courses in Your Student Portal

  • In your myWalden portal, select the Registration button in the upper-right portion of your homepage.
  • Under the Registration section, select the Register for Courses and/or View Degree Audit link.

  • In the drop down menu of available terms, select the appropriate term for registration – visit the Academic Calendar page or contact an Student Success Advisor for assistance in determining which term you need – and then hit Submit.

  • On the next page, click the blue link that identifies your current program.

  • To see what courses are available, click the blue Register link next to the course, General Education Area, or Elective Area that you want.

  • Pay careful attention to the course start and end dates as there may be several options for the same course title.

  • Once you have selected your course click the Register button at the bottom of the page.
  • To confirm that your registration was successful you can check the following locations:
  • Degree Audit (the word Registered will be listed behind the course),

  • the Review Schedule or Drop Courses link (located on the Student Services tab), or

  • the Future Courses area on your portal's Homepage, near the Current and Completed Courses tabs.

Required Course Materials

Students in the undergraduate program are required to purchase their own course materials for course. For more information about how to find the required book list or to order books please visit our guide on how to purchase your books.

If you experience challenges with self-registration in the portal you can contact the Customer Care Team for assistance in troubleshooting the error. Students can reach Customer Care in the following ways:
