BETH: Welcome to WriteCast: A Casual Conversation for Serious Writers.

Hello and happy new year, everyone! We have a quick and exciting announcement here from the WriteCast team that the monthly podcast will be back, starting next month. We’ve been on a hiatus for the past few months but we are looking forward to digging into new discussions with you, and Brittany and I and Anne have some great ideas that we’re throwing around, and we’re excited to be able to explore them more with you in the next couple months.

So, you may be asking what have we been up to these past few months. Well, we have been really busy hiring and training. The Writing Center has doubled in size, and we have many new and wonderful writing instructors and editors that you’ll have the chance to work with in many ways. These different ways include additional staff to help with paper reviews, Form and Style reviews for doctoral students, but we also have staff working on webinars, chat, email, and residencies, too. Just thinking about all those different services, we’ve been able to expand and work on them in different and new ways, and offer some more availability in some of these services, so it’s really exciting, and it’s just an exciting time at the Writing Center, and so we were happy to be able to take that time to really focus on getting our new staff up and running for the Writing Center so they can serve you, students, as much as possible and as quickly as possible.

But now we’re excited to get back to WriteCast and start producing new episodes, starting with next month. So, the best way to stay up to date about new episodes is to subscribe to WriteCast in iTunes and to keep an eye on our social media pages, so we’ll announce new episodes on those pages as well.

In the meantime, Brittany, Anne, and I would love to hear what you want to hear about on WriteCast this year! So, please send us your ideas and suggestions to writingsupport@mail.waldenu.edu or via Twitter or Facebook, let us know what you are interested in learning more about or learning more about.

So thanks for listening, and we will see you next month!
