Safe Communications Policy
For your safety, librarians cannot conduct phone calls or other live sessions with anyone who is operating a motor vehicle. If you are talking with one of our librarians while driving, we will need you to pull off the road immediately and put the vehicle in park. If you are not able to do this, our librarians are required to disconnect the call or chat session.
Because your safety is important to us, our librarians may also disconnect the call or session if they have reason to believe that it may create an unsafe situation.
Should your call or session be disconnected for safety purposes, a librarian will follow-up via email with options for continuing the conversation.
